No sense of sense here, in this collection of known but unfamiliar. Purpose disregarded, reimagined, tilted 10 degrees and complimented by an itch of the chin and a shift of the skull.

- Artist Statement by Jessica Nichols

An interdisciplinary collaboration between dance and production students of the Victorian College of the Arts.

10 degrees was initially inspired by Planet City, a film by Liam Young that was displayed at the National Gallery of Victoria as part of the NGV Triennial exhibit from 19 December 2020-18 April 2021. The film considers an alternative future where the entire world's population is housed in a single city, leaving the rest of the world to heal.
